Experience Requirement
At least 8 full years of professional experience, of which up to 4 years may be substituted by a college/university degree. Related degrees include: engineering, building construction, construction technology, business, economics, accounting, construction management, architecture, computer science, mathematics, etc.
Document Experience/Education

Examination
A 70 % passing grade must be achieved on the examination as determined by the AACE Certification Board. There are totally four parts in the examination, each part is one hour forty five minutes (1 hour 45 minutes each) in length and all are Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). All four parts will be conducted in one day.
Part I - 50 multiple-choice questions on Supporting Skills & Knowledge (open book)
Part II- Cost Estimating and Control
Part III- Project Management
Part IV- Economic Analysis (open book)
Professional Paper Requirement: You must submit an electronic copy of a professional paper of a minimum 2,500 words on a cost engineering-related subject on or before the time of the examination. You must also provide the exam proctor a CD with your professional paper at the time of your exam. |
